Configuring the Event Preprocessor

Use the Event Preprocessor to customize events before the categorisation engine processes them.

To configure the Event Preprocessor:

1. Select the Event Preprocessor configuration settings by clicking the Configuration tab and then selecting Event Preprocessor from the External Systems settings, as shown here.

The Event Preprocessor page appears.

2. Configure the fields and click Save.
   
   You can provide a python or perl script which modifies to the events. You can also build a filter so that the script only runs for a select set of events. The last panel lets you test the script with sample data.
